University of Chicago - Theological Seminary Staircase

University of Chicago - Theological Seminary Staircase

This is quite an elegant building. The U of C Theological Seminary is the oldest institute of higher education founded in Chicago, I believe (1855). From 1928 to 2011 this location served as its second home on the U of C campus in Hyde Park. The building pictured here was designed by Herbert Riddle and was completed in 1928.
Several neo-gothic art stained glass windows adorn the interior. There are also beautiful cloisters, vaulted ceilings and many intricate architectural details inside. I'm not sure of the current fate of the building, but I do hope the historic look of the space is preserved.
This is a shot of some sun rays hitting a staircase near the entrance.
