New Orleans - Jackson Square and St. Louis Cathedral
This is the famous Jackson Square in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. The monument in the center is of Andrew Jackson (1856) and the Cathedral behind it is the St. Louis Cathedral (1789 - reconstructed in 1850). This scene faces the Mississippi River. The squar was designed after the 17th-century Place des Vosges in Paris and is a gathering spot for tourists, artists, and musicians.
