Boston's golden domed State House at night. It was built in 1798 and is located at Becaon and Park Streets across from the Boston Commons on Beacon Hill. The architect was Charles Bulfinch. The "new" State House was built on land owned by John Hancock and the original dome was covered in copper by Paul Revere's company.
