The Carbon and Carbide Building is a 37 story Art Deco skyscraper in Chicago built in 1929. Located on Michigan Avenue, it was once the regional office of Union Carbide and Carbon Company but has been a hotel since 2001 (The Hard Rock Hotel Chicago until 2017 and reopened as the St. Jane Chicago Hotel in 2018). It is black granite and terra cotta with gold leaf accents.
