The workers at Finkl Steel were nice enough to let me observe them working. Giant glowing cylinders would drop from a machine, and then this guy would finish off the ends in a shower of sparks and molten metal. At one point a big burst of these sparks flew a bit close for comfort - almost burned my shoes.
