Cahokia Mounds are the site of an ancient indigenous city. It is a large man-made archaeological site that is today desginated a National Historic Landmark. The mounds are near Collinsville, Illinois across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. This is a shot of light coming through wood beams of one of the structures at Cahokia.
